Dominica: The government of the Commonwealth of Dominica has announced that Prime Minister Dr Roosevelt Skerrit will host a press conference at the Ministry of Finance Conference Room on January 16, 2023 (Monday). The conference will commence at 10 in the morning. The conference will be live on Facebook page of Prime Minister and GIS Dominica, it will also be aired on the YouTube channel of the government.

According to the update by the government, the conference will focus on updating the general public about the national importance. PM Skerrit will address various matters of concern and he will be providing an update on the new measure the government has adopted. He will also shares glimpse of the plans and policies which will be implemented by the DLP-led government in the upcoming times. The government has assured that the policies will directly focus on the growth and enhancement of the people of the country.

Prime Minister Skerrit invited the general public of Dominica to come and join him during the press conference. The message by the PM read, “Greetings, I invite you to tune in for an update on matters of national importance.” He furthermore informed that an update about e-passport and the e-passport issuing system will be shared by the National Security and Legal Affairs Minister, Rayburn Blackmoore.

The press conference will also share glimpse on the handing over ceremony, in which the government of Dominica distributed eighteen housing units to the people residing in Bataca and Sineku. The houses were presented to the families who lost their homes following the passage of Hurricane Maria in the year 2017. During this conference, Prime Minister will talk about the climate resilient housing units which will be constructed in upcoming times.

The people of Dominica showed their enthusiasm and assured that they will be listening to Prime Minister Skerrit on January 16, Monday.
