Dominica: Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit delivers a great message in the first Annou Pale of 2021. He reminded citizens of Dominica to build their success that can stimulate the development of the nation.
Why PM Skerrit says ‘Personal Growth’ matter?
PM Skerrit starts his speech by emphasizing people to work on their personal growth. He stated how the people of Dominica had faced challenges by the lethal coronavirus pandemic. He urged citizens that, “I need the support of every citizen to stimulate economic growth of the country,” He insisted people “ask yourself that you fit in the country’s development or not?” As an individual, you should participate in the growth of the nation. He said citizens must open new pathways and choose a collaborative approach to form an organization that works towards a country’s success.
He added, “I encourage you to move ahead with your personal growth and development and continue your quest for personal growth and come out stronger every time.”
PM Skerrit invited The Regional Director of the World Health Organisation for the Americas, Dr. Carissa F. Etienne, to consult about the management of deadly coronavirus pandemic. There were some significant questions asked by the Prime Minister.
Question: As a government, what kind of significant measures we can take in this pandemic?
Answer: The government should continue multisector investment to tackle this lethal pandemic. The investment must be made in the health sector. There would be access to nutrition, water, and sanitation. Access to testing, PPE kit, and other means for precautions. It is for the safety of people from non-communicable diseases.
Question: How government can Manage pandemic effectively?
Answer: Government only can make efforts by implementing the necessary investment for good governance. Investment in the public as well as the private sector, would do wonders.
