Caribbean Airlines announced the launch of its first J’ouvert band, ‘Caribbean Iere Mas (CIM)’ and Rum Punch to celebrate the vibrant culture and unique flavours of the region on Saturday.
This CIM band is a part of the Caribbean Culture Program of the airline which promises to offer an exciting, fun-filled, and safe J’ouvert Road experience for masqueraders.
Band to showcase Caribbean’s vibrant culture
This initiative undertaken by the Caribbean Airlines is expected to play a huge role in promoting the vibrant culture and traditions of the region. Shedding light on the newly launched band, the authorities said that it will cement the airlines’ role as a ‘cultural connector’.
They noted that this band outlines their commitment to promote and foster the rich heritage of the Caribbean during the highly-anticipated Trinidad Carnival season.
Caribbean Airlines’ collaboration with Angostura
Caribbean Airlines has also partnered with Angostura to introduce the Caribbean Iere Mix. It is a signature rum punch which is inspired by the delicious flavours of the Caribbean region.
This beverage introduced by the airline will be served to the passengers during the Carnival season, aiming to offer a true taste of the Caribbean to all the international visitors.
The Executive Manager, Business Efficiency and Shared Services of Angostura, Rahim Mohammed said that they are extremely happy to collaborate with Caribbean Airlines.
Emphasizing on the ingredients of the rum punch, Manager Mohammed said that it is the perfect blend of ripe passion fruit, succulent mango, tangy pineapple and aromatic bitters.
He added that this IERE Mix will allow them to share a taste of the tropics with all the passengers of the airline, offering a memorable and comfortable experience to all the passengers.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Caribbean Airlines, Garvin Medera said that the launch of CIM and Caribbean Iere Mix is a testament to their commitment and dedication towards celebrating the Caribbean spirit.
CEO Medera noted that through these initiatives, they are making efforts with a vision to elevate the overall experiences of all the customers.
