ASATT Invitational Swimming Championship begins today

The 2023 ASATT Invitational Swimming Championship will start today and end on Wednesday, December 17th, at the National Aquatic Centre in Balmain, Couva.

ASATT Invitational Swimming Championship is set to commence today.

The 2023 ASATT Invitational Swimming Championship is set to commence today and conclude on Wednesday, December 17, at the National Aquatic Centre in Balmain, Couva.

Notably, the championship will feature teams from various Caribbean islands, including Grenada, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Guyana, Saint Lucia, and the host country, Trinidad and Tobago.

It is important to note that swimmers from multiple clubs have already arrived ahead of the tournament, and ASATT has disclosed the clubs that will be competing.

Guyana will be represented by three clubs:

  • Sea Otters Swim Club
  • Dolphin Combine Dorado Speed Swim Club
  • Orca Speed Swim Club

The Dolphin Speed Swim Club departed Guyana yesterday for the ASATT Invitational Swimming Championship. The contingent consists of eighteen athletes from Dolphin Speed Swim Club, two from Trident Swim Academy, and one from Torpedo Swim Club.

The Dolphin Speed Swim Club team is being led by coaches and managers:

Chaperones:

  • Kavita Persuad

Coach Mahaica expressed his excitement, elated by the performance of his swimmers over the past year and expecting to secure medals.

Grenada is represented by the Solid Base Swim Club and The Grenfin Swim Club.

Notably, swimmers from six Barbados clubs are participating:

  • Pirates Swim Club
  • High Tide Stingrays Swim Club
  • Blacksails Swim Club
  • New Wave Swim Club
  • Alpha Sharks Swim Club
  • Dolphin Swim Club

It is to be noted that Lightning Aquatics Swim Club and Southern Flying Fish are the representatives of Saint Lucia.

Antigua Aquatic Club, Wadadli Aquatic Racers Swim Club, and Vipers Swim Club will represent Antigua and Barbuda in this Championship.

The head of fundraising and executive members engaged in various fundraising activities, assisting parents with the budget for their children to participate in this Championship.
