Antigua and Barbuda: ABLP expresses gratitude over successful health walk, congratulates participants

Saint John’s, Antigua and Barbuda: The Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party has congratulated the participants of the health walk, organised by the government led by Prime Minister Gaston Browne. The political party of the twin-island federation also extended congratulations towards the winners.

While expressing gratitude over the successful health walk, the alliance noted, “The Labour we Love Zone 1 Walk and Run was highly successful. Congratulations to all of our participants on their successful completion of the walk. Congrats to our winners who not only won in their respective categories but also encouraged spectators to participate.”

While mentioning winners and the runners who attained a position, the labour party stated that Raoul Brookes was first in the men’s category, while Charmaine Joseph captured first place in the women’s category. Along with this, Calvin Francis and Ester Samuel were runners-up in their categories, as per the official update.

In addition to this, ABLP also informed about the race of elderly people. As per the update, “The oldest male to complete the race was Mr Phillip Isaacs Sr, while Mr Freeston Robinson was runner-up.” It also informed that the Oldest Female to complete the competition was Esther Emmanuel, while Anzinger Hodge placed second.

Furthermore, it emphasised the youngest runner and stated, “The youngest competitor, at only ten years old, is the young Zedon McCoy.”

Additionally, as per the update by ABLP, the largest group to participate was awarded to St John’s City East, with St John’s Rural East placing second. Special recognition was also given to Maserati for completing the competition as a visually impaired person and Pamella Asphalt, who competed and finished in grand style despite her ailment.

It concluded its post with best wishes and stated, “Congratulations again to all our winners and participants! We look forward to the other upcoming events!”
