Haiti: President of Haiti, Jovenel Moise, officially launched the National Carnival 2021.

President of Haiti, Jovenel Moise, wrote, In Port-de-Paix, young and old celebrate in joy, chanting the carnival chorales animated by our artists who exhibit themselves on allegorical tanks in a thousand colors. Today, the world has its eyes wide open to a city that, for a long time, was at the trailer.

Furthermore, President of Haiti, Jovenel Moise, added, accompanied by the First Lady, I officially launched, this Sunday, the National Carnival 2021, in the city of Port-de-Paix, during a ceremony held in the presence of members of the GVT, the Carnival Organizing Committee, and various actors evolving in the Haitian cultural world.

President of Haiti, Jovenel Moise, stated that I’m in Port-de-Paix to launch the national carnival officially. A historic moment for this city that has always, in the past, been treated as an imperfect parent. Today, it’s this department’s lie that hosts its 1st national carnival in the country’s history.

Along with that, he tweeted, Yesterday, cramped streets in dirt or flawed condition, transformed into veritable marshes or dusty areas depending on the season … Today, the streets of Port-de-Paix are vibrant, bubbling, colorful, and discreet. It feels good and safe there.

He added, “Visitors fell in love with Port-de-Paix immediately. The soul of the city is reborn and has preserved its charm of yesteryear. It is pleasant to live with. Despite its injuries, the city is beautiful, historic and photogenic.”

He quoted, “Port-de-Paix, a magnificent city, encourages its visitors to put time on pause. Its old quarters renovated and rehabilitated, offer breathtaking charm.”

He stated, “Economic lung of the North West, Port-de-Paix is a city where a special atmosphere reigns, patiently shaped by the historical events which have marked it, without distorting it. The city is changing rapidly and is renowned for its active life. It’s worth the detour.”

He discussed, “Port-de-Paix, a city that once had a thousand ills, has given itself the means to achieve its ambitions. The first official capital of the French colony of Santo Domingo, in 1685, it has a rich history and mythical places to discover. The city deserves to be visited.”
