St Lucia: The Ministry of Commerce, Manufacturing, Business Development Cooperatives and Customer Affairs has informed the general public that the cost of petrol, diesel, Kerosene, LPG 20, 22, and 100 lb cylinders will witness a hike in the upcoming days.
The Ministry has stated, “The public has been notified that the Government has decided to increase the retail value of kerosene, diesel, as well as LPG 20, 22 and 100 lb cylinder has changed.”
Meanwhile, the price of gasoline will remain unchanged.
As per the Ministry of Commerce, the new and changed prices will be implemented in the State from May 2, 2022.
The new prices introduced by the Ministry are:
The price of kerosene increased from $2.33 to $3.09 per litre or from $10.57 to $14.03 per gallon.
The retail value of diesel has been increased from $3.51 to $3.57 per litre or from $15.97 to $16.23 per gallon.
- The cost of a 20-pound cylinder, which is equivalent to 9.07 kg, has increased to $42.94 from $39.81 per cylinder.
- The retail price of the 22-pound cylinder, which is 9.98 kg, has changed from $43.79 to $47.23 per cylinder.
- The price of a 100-pound cylinder or 45.36 kg cylinder has increased from $309.89 and $341.16 per cylinder.
The country has witnessed a hike in fuel prices after the change saw in the world’s fuel market.
As per the Ministry of Commerce, the new change in the retail price of fuel and cylinders will be witnessed on May 23, 2022 (Monday).
