St Kitts and Nevis: St Kitts and Nevis National Carnival has expressed pleasure and congratulated the National Carnival Queen and Swimwear contestants for their fruitful engagement in the development sessions.
According to the social media post by the National Carnival Federation, “It was a pretty productive session. It was at the Royal St Kitts Hotel on Saturday, 26th November 2022, when both the National Carnival Queen and Swimwear contestants were engaged in developmental sessions.”
Furthermore, it informed that the development sessions in which the contestants engaged are as follows:
1: Interpersonal Skills with Curtis Martin
2: Your Image and Makeup Application with Janet Johnson
3: Importance of relationship with God as a strong foundation for fulfilling purpose, building positive self-esteem and self-confidence, attaining success, owning their voices and leaving a legacy with Esther Thomas, Co-Pastor of Kingdom Advance Church OR CEO, EJT Consulting & Business Solutions and Inside & In Sight Publishing
4: Budgeting and Finances with reigning National Carnival Queen Nekirah Nicholls
In addition to this, St Kitts and Nevis National Carnival has also introduced Nubia Williams, who is the facilitator of the Sugar Mas 51 Judges’ Workshop for this weekend. As per the National Carnival, Williams, music educator, adjudicator for Steelband and calypso, steelpan examiner and pannist, was one of the first two graduates of the BA Musical Arts programme at the University of the West Indies and has served as the elected representative on the Association for Caribbean Music Educators. She has taught music at primary, secondary and tertiary levels and has been judging music at home and abroad for the past twenty-eight years.
Some of those competitions include the International Soca Monarch, National Calypso Monarch Kings and Queens, National Panorama, Steelband Music Festivals and countless other calypso and soca competitions on both school and national levels.
