PM Roosevelt Skerrit and Melissa Skerrit celebrate 10 years of togetherness

Roseau, Dominica: Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica – Roosevelt Skerrit and his wife and the Housing Minister of Dominica – Melissa Poponne-Skerrit, celebrated their wedding anniversary on May 11, 2023. The couple celebrated ten years of togetherness this year and re-collected the memories made by them.

Prime Minister Skerrit shared his happiness with Dominicans and wished his wife a beautiful occasion through his official social media account. “Happy Anniversary to my amazing wife Melissa,” his social media post read.

While emphasising the ten years of togetherness, PM Roosevelt Skerrit expressed, “Today marks ten years since we pledged our love and lives to each other. I am lucky and blessed to call you my wife. Thank you for the years of love, laughter, and happiness and may our love continue to flourish as the years go by.”

“I love you always. Happy Anniversary, My Love,” he outlined.

Melissa Poponne-Skerrit, Parliamentary Representative of Roseau Central Constituency, also wished her husband on this occasion and noted, “There was a greater purpose which I did not at the time understand when God told me that this man, whom I had never previously met, would one day be my husband.”

Furthermore, she mentioned, “Happy Anniversary, my love!! Today we celebrate ten years of our blissful marriage, 2 beautiful children, and all while balancing a roller coaster career!”

“10 years and counting up. I love you forever and a day!” her post read.
