Zada Stephens breaks stereotype of lean and fit model, wins Miss SVG 2024

Zada Stephens has been announced as the winner of Miss SVG Pageant 2024, setting the bar high and becoming a source of inspiration for every big girl who aspires to compete on such fashion shows. The netizens have lauded her and judges for breaking stereotypes and crowning the girl who truly deserves the honour despite of all negative stigmas of being fit and lean.

Zada defeated five other contestants to claim the crown, showcasing her charm, elegance, style and utmost level of confidence while walking on the stage. She did not only win the title but also walked away with several awards including, Best Cultural Wear, Best Talent, and Best Interview.

She was followed by Lisha Beache and Felecia Hector as the first and second-runners up respectively. Also, not only Zada but other contestants as well were awarded with other tags.

As, Lisha Beache won three titles including, Best Community Service Project, Best Deportment Excellence Award and People’s Choice Award. Meanwhile, Alvina Pinder claimed tags such as, Miss Congeniality, Best In Swimwear, Best In Evening Gown and Best Evening Gown.

Athaliah Gloster and Kewanna Hackshaw were awarded Miss Photogenic and Miss Community Spirited, respectively.

While extending congratulations and lauding Stephens, the Management of the Miss SVG title stated that her grace and talent has brought the theme “A Royal Dream” to life, and truly shined like royalty.

The netizens have referred Zada Stephens victory as the win for the full-figured women, young ladies and body positivity. Her victory has inspired other women to embrace their flaws and let their personality do the rest.

With her exceptional performance in Miss SVG 2024, she won not only the hearts and minds of the judges but the entire audiences as well. During the questioning round, she was asked “AI is here to stay. How can small businesses in SVG use artificial intelligence to their advantage?”

Responding smartly to the question, she stated AI is something that can be utilized to streamline administrative tasks. Sharing her experience, she noted that as an entrepreneur herself, she has used it prior, to do social media marketing, planning which has helped her to come up with her captions.

“I’m a makeup artist so it allows me to focus more on my clients and what their needs and demands are, and it allows me to book clients and do different things so that way I could focus on customer service as opposed to that sort of administrative tasks.”

After hearing her respond, people howled in a manner to cheer her up and boosted her confidence which was very much evident in her smile.

Moreover, Zada Stephens will also receive a university scholarship valued at XCD $80,000, among other prizes for her remarkable and memorable victory at Miss SVG 2024.
