Trinidad and Tobago records 777 new COVID-19 cases & 12 deaths

Trinidad and Tobago: 777 new COVID-19 positive cases reported in Trinidad and Tobago. According to the statistics, T&T experienced 12 deaths due to the COVID-19 virus, according to the official website of the TT Ministry of Health. The figures show the constant positivity rate that the country has been experiencing.

The total number of cases recorded by the country is 120,003, till February 12, 2022, out of which 38,088 have been recovered.

With 12 deaths, the death of the twin-island has reached 3,519. Of the total, nine had multiple comorbidities, and three were suffering from one comorbidity.

The sample was collected between February 6 and February 12, not in 24 hours. Till present, a total of 594,128 tests have been conducted in Trinidad and Tobago at both public (328,925) and private (265,203) facilities.

The hospitals have been occupied by 347 patients at present in Trinidad & Tobago. 48 patients have been discharged from the public health facilities, and 521 have been recovered community cases. Recovered community cases are categorised in them those who have been infected by COVID-19 virus, and they were in self-isolation, and after reaching the discharge, criteria had been released from self-isolation.

Till February 12 noon, 57,418 St Lucians have been given the first dose of COVID-19 vaccines; out of these vaccinated persons, 34,491 got AstraZeneca Oxford vaccine, and 19,713 doses of Pfizer.

However, 51,596 people are fully vaccinated; of these 17,105 doses were of Pfizer-BioNTech and 34,491 got AstraZeneca vaccine, according to the statics by the health ministry.
