Trinidad and Tobago: Five suspects arrested on the charge of robbery
Five suspects were apprehended by North Eastern Division officers of Trinidad and Tobago in connection with a reported robbery incident held in the Northern Division.

Five suspects were apprehended by North Eastern Division officers of Trinidad and Tobago in connection with a reported robbery incident held in the Northern Division.
The officers seized three firearms and a quantity of ammunition during the exercise conducted by them.
As soon as the officials received the information, they responded to the matter by moving towards Pitch Road, Morvant.
By reaching there, they apprehended five men who fit the description of suspects who were involved in a recent Robbery in the Northern Division.
To collect further information, the officers moved towards Cipriani Street, Morvant, where they searched an open bushy area. On searching the area, the officials discovered various things, which includes:
– One Glock 48 pistol, which was fitted with one magazine containing a quantity of nine-millimetre ammunition
– One Samsung phone
– A bunch of keys
Moreover, while conducting an anti-crime exercise in the Mango Rose area, Port of Spain Division officers received news and they moved towards the fourth floor of a building, which is commonly called “Nine Storey”.
On arriving at the building, the authorities searched the stairwell and the electric panel, where they found things including:
– A Smith and Wesson revolver
– Five rounds of .38 ammunition
– Two rounds of 7.62 calibre ammunition.
Meanwhile, the authorities of the South Western Division seized a firearm while they were conducting a surveillance exercise at Erin Beach.
During the exercise conducted by the officers, they observed a man walking along the beach with a bag across his chest.
This created a doubt and they approached the man. As soon as that man saw the officers, he dropped his bag and ran east along the shoreline and then into a mangrove area.
The authorities tried their best to follow that man, but he escaped and ran away.
Furthermore, the police officers searched the bag, they found:
– A Glock 17 pistol
– 16 rounds of nine-millimetre ammunition.
The officials are investigating the matter.
The residents of Trinidad and Tobago showed their satisfaction with the work of the officials of the island nation, as such measures and the exercises conducted by them, play a huge role in combatting the crime rate.
