St Kitts and Nevis welcomes Independence baby girl, PM Drew wishes good health and happiness

St Kitts and Nevis welcomed the Independence baby-girl on the 41st anniversary of their Independence celebration for the year 2024. The Prime Minister, along with other Cabinet Ministers visited Joseph N. France Hospital to wish the baby girl, a life filled with prosperity and good health.

While sharing the glimpses of his visit to the JNF Hospital, PM Terrance Drew extended congratulations to the proud parents on the arrival of their beautiful baby girl. The Prime Minister took a picture carrying the new-born and presented her with baby supply items.

PM Drew shared that he also had the pleasure of meeting the baby that was born on September 16, on the occasion of National Heroes Day. All the Cabinet Ministers also met with the parents of that baby and extended them their warmest congratulations.

The Prime Minister called his meeting with both babies, a precious moment and stated that they are the youngest minds towards a brighter future of St Kitts and Nevis. The Prime Minister and the Cabinet Ministers were wearing clothes decorated in the national colours, expressing their pride and love for the country’s national flag.

Notably, St Kitts and Nevis celebrated the 41st anniversary of Independence on 19th September 2024 under the theme “Together, a People, Proud and Strong: Independence 41.” The day of the was commenced with the 41st Independence Ceremonial Parade at the Warner Park Cricket Stadium.

Hundreds of nationals of St. Kitts and Nevis, carrying the pride, patriotism and love for the country, and beautifully decorated in their national colours, joined Leaders of Government, dignitaries and members of the diplomatic and consular corps for the parade ceremony.

The Parade was highlighted by a display of precision drills from the members of the various armed and unarmed forces. The display of a giant 33×46-foot flag carried by the members of the Scouts was a new addition to the traditional parade.

Moreover, PM Drew also addressed the nation on the auspicious occasion of 41st Independence Celebration and encouraged all the citizens to reintegrate, reunite, and build a brand-new nation hand in hand together.

The Prime Minister noted that as they are reflecting on the journey over the last 41 years, citizens should never forget the sacrifices of those who came before them.

He asked all the citizens to honor their legacy by continuing to strive for a better and more and a prosperous St Kitts and Nevis.

“Together, a people proud and strong. This is our identity, our strength, our promise for the future,” noted PM Terrance Drew.
