Saint Lucia to host Douvan Ansamn, Calendar released

Douvan Ansamn – Building a nation through unity, resilience, and creativity as the celebration of Fringe Independence 45. The calendar of the activities of this have also been released which stated that the activities will commence from February 4, 2024 (Sunday).

Saint Lucia: Douvan Ansamn – Building a nation through unity, resilience, and creativity as the celebration of Fringe Independence 45. The calendar of the activities has also been released, which states that the activities will commence on February 4, 2024 (Sunday).

A total of 11 events have been announced under the celebrations of Fringe Independence 45. Nine will be held in February, and the other two will be held in March and April.

The events will commence on February 4. The Relay for Life will be held at the Sab, Vigie. After this, the Legacy Calypso Show will take place at the Pavilion on Rodney Bay on Saturday, February 10.

All the events are scheduled for the weekend to make it convenient for the locals to be a part of these. For the following week, three events are scheduled as one for February 16 (Friday) as the Wreath Laying Ceremony and which will be held at Derek Walcott Square.

Another two events are scheduled for February 17 on Saturday, which are the Miss Independence Youth Development Pageant and the Around the Island Independence Challenge. The venue for both is different as the former one will be held at Soufriere Mini Stadium and the latter one will take place at Island wide.

Moreover, in the last days of February month, there will be continuous events for three days from February 23 to February 25, the list to these is as follows:

Flavours of Saint Lucia Independence Food Truck Culinary Competition at Bel Jou Hotel on Feb 23.
Independence Pan Jam at Constitution Park & Vieux Fort Square on Feb 24
Independence Gospel Concert at Gros Islet Human Resource Development Centre on Feb 25
Also, Independence games will mark the joy on both days, February 24 and 25, at Soufriere Mini Stadium and George Odlum Stadium.

Interestingly, Independence Pan Jam will spread its energy on March 2 as well at the same venue where it will take place on February 24 at Constitution Park & Vieux Fort Square.

The last event, Takeover Tent (TOT), 40th Anniversary Celebrations, will be on April 6 (Saturday), and the location for the same has not been announced yet.
