Castries, Saint Lucia: The tourism authority of Saint Lucia actively participated in the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association Marketplace, which is being conducted at Jamaica from 19th – 23rd May 2024. By participating in such prestigious conferences, the country highlighted their vision to become a top choice destination for all the travellers.

The conference was attended by several prominent figures from the tourism authority of Saint Lucia. Senator Guibion Ferdinand led the delegation and was accompanied by Board Director with oversight for Marketing, Thomas Leonce, Head of Marketing, Dexter Percil, Senior Sales Manager for North America, Richard Moss and Marketing Officer, Kenya James.

The delegates shed light on various strategies, future plans, and policies that they can implement in order to promote the nation and make it a premier Caribbean destination. During the meeting, the authorities also mentioned the achievements and excellence undertaken by the tourism industry and promised to continue to make efforts with a vision to elevate the nation to greater heights.

Moreover, the island nation also claimed the prestigious Resilience Award, which emphasizes the exemplary leadership, strategies, and collaborative efforts undertaken by the tourism sector. The authorities of the island nation have always remained committed to their agenda of making the country a sustainable island state. This recognition marks the constant efforts, unwavering commitment, and dedication of the tourism sector to promote sustainable practices and resilience.

Also, the Senator Guibion Ferdinand shared his views on the meeting and called it a valuable opportunity. He added that it is a very interactive way to promote the unique and beautiful destinations of Saint Lucia and to foster strong partnership which will create a huge role in developing the tourism sector of the country.

He also extended gratitude to the government for their unconditional support in helping them earn this prestigious award. Notably, the delegates also engaged with several media representatives and airline partners with a vision to enhance connectivity and lead the nation toward growth and development.
