Saint Lucia receives 3000 doses of AstraZeneca from UK
Saint Lucia: Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs Ministry of Saint Lucia informs the public of the availability of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 Vaccine.

Saint Lucia: Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs Ministry of Saint Lucia informs the public of the availability of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 Vaccine. Saint Lucia is grateful for a generous donation of 3000 doses of AstraZeneca from the United Kingdom after several months of being out of stock.
The COVID-19 vaccines (AstraZeneca, Pfizer BioNTech and Johnson & Johnson) are available at all Wellness Centres.
Persons who haven’t been fully vaccinated or are partially vaccinated are encouraged to visit a Community Wellness Centre to do so. As per the experts, vaccination remains the best protection against severe COVID-19 illness, hospitalization and death.
The public is further informed that the Pediatric Pfizer will be available at the Wellness Centres in the coming week. The Ministry of Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs will state with an update on the availability of the Pediatric Pfizer vaccine.
Earlier, CARPHA confirmed first case of BA5 in Saint Lucia. As per the release by the Health Ministry, “As we continue to note the return to normalcy with the opening up of events and mass crowd activities, we need to ensure that the proven public health protective measures are in place to prevent us from getting sick and to protect the most vulnerable.”
The authorities further explained the public that following the safety protocols is important as threats related to COVID-19 pandemic is still looming.
