Saint Lucia: Ministry of Tourism to host consultations on Draft Tourism Development Bill
Saint Lucia: The Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture and Information Ministry, is hosting a series of consultations for all tourism service operators.

Saint Lucia: The Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture and Information Ministry, is hosting a series of consultations for all tourism service operators within the various sub-sectors on the requirements for the certification component of the proposed Tourism Development Act (TDA). These consultations are scheduled to commence on Monday, October 17, 2022, and conclude on November 14, 2022.
During the previous consultations held with service operators on the Draft Tourism Development Bill, certification was highlighted as a core requirement within the new legislative framework.
The Ministry will therefore sensitize stakeholders on all relevant standards to meet certification. The targeted sub-sectors include but are not limited to Accommodation, Food and Beverage, Recreational, Land and Marine Based Transportation and Niche sectors.
Certification will allow tourism service providers access to the following services:
• Government Incentives;
• Access Training and Capacity Building Programs;
• Quality Management for tourism products and services;
• Marketing and Promotion; and
• Grant Funding
