Trinidad and Tobago: It is a historic milestone for Port of Spain as they have claimed the first-ever World Travel Awards for the Caribbean’s leading Business Travel Destination 2024.
World Travel Award is considered the most prestigious award programme, which reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the global travel and tourism industry.
And, this prestigious acknowledgement is a testament to the unwavering commitment and dedication of the tourism authority of Port of Spain towards providing all its visitors with exceptional services. It also celebrates the world-class infrastructure, vibrant culture, values and traditions of the country.
Following this recognition, the tourism authority of Trinidad and Tobago has expressed their excitement and are optimistic that this accolade would bring numerous benefits to individuals, businesses and destination.
They noted that such acknowledgement would play a huge role in stimulating economic growth, attract business travellers, enhance opportunities for networking, promote professional development while enhancing cultural exchange and increasing visibility for destination, form crucial partnerships and industry-specific events.
Moreover, the authorities also added that whether people are planning a meeting, incentive, conference, or exhibition, Trinidad is the world’s most exciting emerging destination for hosting a successful event.
While shedding light on it, they noted that Trinidad boasts the largest conference centre in the English-speaking Caribbean, and many hotels have facilities for conferences, including international brands like the Hyatt Regency Trinidad and Hilton Trinidad & Conference Centre.
Along with that, they also stated that there is the magnificent, state-of-the-art National Academy for the Performing Arts, which serves several purposes in the MICE market.
The Tourism Ministry of Trinidad and Tobago also asserted that the island nation is a hub and access to the island from key destinations in the US, South America, Central America, Europe, and the Caribbean. They also mentioned that this award has marked Port of Spain as the ultimate business travel destination which is setting new standards in business travel and success.
