St Kitts and Nevis: Terrance Drew, the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis attended the opening of Six Senses La Sagesse Hotel in Grenada. The Prime Minister expressed his pleasure for the Caribbean neighbour and fellow OECS country, Grenada.
The Prime Minister highlighted that the Six Senses La Sagesse Hotel, which was supposed to be built in St Kitts and Nevis at La Valley, has now been opened in Grenada. He added that instead of investing in St Kitts, the investors went to Grenada and this happened after 2015.
“This loss was significant,” quoted the Prime Minister, Terrance Drew.
The Prime Minister stated through a statement how important the investments are to the country. The Six Senses hotel has provided over 1700 jobs which includes 1000 construction jobs and 750 long term hotel jobs.
Such kind of employment opportunities in the country gives an idea of economic development of the country. Not only the employment opportunities but also, a newly opened Six Senses Hotel directs towards the expansion of the tourism industry.
