Julien Alfred, the first ever Olympic Gold medallist of Saint Lucia is all set to participate at the Wanda Diamond League meet in Zunich on Thursday, 5th September 2024. Before coming back to her country, she is aiming to add another medal to her bag in order to make a memorable comeback after such historic wins.
Recently, Julien Alfred has registered a historic milestone by winning the first-ever Olympic gold medal for Saint Lucia in Paris Olympics 2024. She outpaced the US athlete and reigning world champion, Sha’Carri Richardson by clocking a time of 10.72 sec to win the race.
Not only this, she also brought another medal for the country, winning silver by clocking the time of 22.08 seconds. However, she could not defeat the American Gabby Thomas, but she managed to win millions of hearts and minds from the audience of the 2024 Pairs Olympics.
With these exceptional victories and record-breaking career, Julien Alfred is today known as the Golden Girl of her country.
