NHCS announces call to Creative Entrepreneurs to participate in Regional Workshop

NHCS (Nevis Historical and Conservation Society) has made an announcement to call the Caribbean Creative Entrepreneurs. The regional workshop will be conducted from April 23 to April 25, 2024 under the name, “Entrepreneurship and Cultural Heritage Tourism: Exploring Opportunities and Challenges at World Heritage Properties.”

St Kitts and Nevis: NHCS (Nevis Historical and Conservation Society) has made an announcement to call the Caribbean Creative Entrepreneurs. The regional workshop will be conducted from April 23 to April 25, 2024 under the name, “Entrepreneurship and Cultural Heritage Tourism: Exploring Opportunities and Challenges at World Heritage Properties.”

The Caribbean Entrepreneurs are being called as UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) is leading the EU-funded Transcultura programme workshop. And, this workshop aims at linking World Heritage managers with the local entrepreneurs for the social as well as economic benefits.

The call is open for the Carribean Creative Entrepreneurs till March 8, 2024. And, this will take place in Havana, Cuba.

Not only this, sustainable management of heritage resources is also under the aim of the Transcultura programme. For this, the applicants who are between the age 18 and 35 can only apply.

However, the geographical scope aligns with the Caribbean region. This includes the permanent residents of any of the 17 Caribbean countries which are listed as follows:

  • Antigua and Barbuda
  • The Bahamas
  • Barbados
  • Belize
  • Cuba
  • Dominican Republic
  • Grenada
  • Guyana
  • Haiti
  • Jamaica
  • Monserrat
  • St Kitts and Nevis
  • Saint Lucia
  • Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
  • Trinidad and Tobago (Suriname)

Probing ahead, when it comes to the professional requirements, young entrepreneurs with an early stage business which are in operation within or in near proximity of heritage properties.

The name of the country St Kitts and Nevis in the list of 17 Caribbean countries states the country’s position in the Caribbean region and all over the world. The entrepreneurship and cultural heritage tourism workshop held by the UNESCO signifies towards the business stage properties.

This also leads towards the economic growth of the country. Such a small island through this would get an opportunity to showcase the skills and creativeness a country holds and can give to the country’s growth as a whole.
