Georgetown, Guyana: Visit Guyana, named Facebook channel, outlined that new project loading and outlined that it was a fun day shooting content with Karlo Jerez.
“Look out for new collaborations showcasing Guyana to an even wider audience in the Caribbean, South America, the UK, Canada etc., with creators like Karlo and others dropping soon!” it noted while mentioning the project.
It added that taking the initiative years ago to showcase my country, its local businesses, culture, natural beauty, events, people, and more through my own personal travels and lens has not come without challenges.
The social media post by Visit Guyana mentioned that what’s most important, however, is the fact that we have helped to educate people about Guyana, inspiring them to visit and venture beyond familiar territory to explore and get in touch with the soul of the country. “We have helped dozens of businesses in the tourism industry and, by extension, the ones that support them to grow and sustain,” the social media post read.
“We have showcased from birds to bakes, tibiseri weaving, cotton spinning, hammock weaving, Farine making, tapico making, and cashew nut roasting. We have showcases artists and musicians and chefs and small businesses,” it added.
Guyana’s giants, monuments, festivals, events, food, restaurants, historical buildings… hidden gems, waterfalls, lakes, mountains and forests… you name it, and it has been featured… tirelessly and consistently for the last decade.
“It has been an honour, and I am proud to know that the thousands of hours of our time and the posts we create and continue to create and share have always had and will continue to have a positive and lasting impact,” the social media post read while concluding.
