Ministry of Carriacou & Petite Martinique Affairs officers participate in CariSECURE 2.0 project

Hillsborough, Carriacou: The Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs and Local Government has recently informed the general public about the input of the officers of the division of Ministry participated in the CariSECURE 2.0 project.

“Officers from various Divisions within the Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs & Local Government were among persons from Carriacou who gave their input to the CariSECURE 2.0 project,” the update by the Ministry informed.

It further outlined that the CariSECURE 2.0 activity supports USAID’s strategy to reduce youth involvement in crime and violence and strengthen counter Trafficking in Persons (TIP) efforts in the Caribbean.

Moreover, it stated about the benefits of the programme and highlighted that this will help in focusing on the development and growth of the communities living in the countries.

“It employs a multi-pronged, human rights-based approach designed to improve national capacities to use evidence-based approaches to identify the root causes of youth crime and design policies, strategies, programs and interventions across six countries,” it outlined through social media post, which was further shared by the Government of Grenada.
