Georgetown, Guyana: The Health Ministry of Guyana has recently shared update regarding the opening of the Sheriff General Hospital at Region three of the nation.
According to the update by the Health Ministry, the Sheriff General Hospital, fully equipped with cutting-edge equipment to provide quality service delivery to the residents of Region Three, was opened today at Leonora, West Coast Demerara.
Dr Mohamed Irfaan Ali, the President of Guyana interacted with the general public of the region and mentioned that his government is working days and nights to provide all the basic necessities to the citizens and residents of the country. While delivering his feature address, stated that the government assured to remain committed to creating an environment that facilities investments, as per the ministry.
“We want to create a new service-oriented culture where there is great dignity and pride in everything”, the president was quoted saying.
Meanwhile, Dr Frank Anthony, Minister of Health also interacted with all the attendees and mentioned that the government, under President Ali’s guidance has been working tirelessly and assured that it will provide best healthcare facilities within the region.
During his remarks, the Minister of Health, Dr Frank Anthony, said the government’s mandate is to create a world-class health sector which will benefit the people of Guyana and those visiting the country.
“We have decided to improve the infrastructure of all our health facilities to enhance hospital care and boost primary health care services across the country”, Minister Anthony said.
He also congratulated Shareef Ahmad, CEO of Sheriff Group of Companies, for the successful completion of the newly established hospital.
