Grenada: Rugby tournament set for Dec 6-7, 14 teams to compete for US $10,000
Grenada Rugby World 7s (GRW7s) is again collaborating with the Rotary Club of Grenada and the Grenada Golf and Country Club (GGCC) to host the 3rd annual local Charity Golf Tournament, with proceeds going to the Grenada Cancer Society.

The world-class Rugby Tournament is all set to return to Grenada, which has been scheduled to take place on December 6th and 7th at the Grenada Athletic Stadium. The event will feature top 14 teams from around the globe competing for a prize of $10,000 USD.
This event is considered as one of rugby’s most popular international events which is renowned for attracting some of the best Men’s and Women’s Club Rugby 7s teams. This tournament includes an entertainment and family-friendly event format, from locals to visitors, players to spectators, promises to offer something for everyone to enjoy at 2024 GRW7s.
Also, the authorities will host a week of official GRW7s associated events with a vision to create a perfect blend of rugby action, socialising, and destination discovery, in order to bring diverse people together, raises money for charity, and showcases the rugby community spirit.
While shedding light on the tournament, President of the newly-formed Grenada Rugby Union, Carrim Browne stated that his team have been firmly dedicated to their mission of growing rugby in the tri-island state of Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinque, and the sport is now steadily gaining momentum.

Now in its third year, the 2023 Gavin Clark Memorial GRW7s Charity Golf Tournament is set to be held on Wednesday, 29th November at the Grenada Golf and Country Club as part of this year’s action-packed Official GRW7s Schedule of Events.

- December 2: Arrivals and Welcome Drinks at the Airport
- December 2: Training Sessions at Morne Rouge Grounds, Grande Anse
- December 3: Arrivals and Welcome Drinks at the Airport
- December 3: Training Sessions at Morne Rouge Grounds, Grand Anse
- December 4: GRW7s Charity Golf Tournament at Grenada Golf Club, St Georges
- December 4: Welcome Party at Umbrellas Beach Bar, Grand Anse
- December 5: Training Sessions at Morne Rouge Grounds, Grand Anse
- December 5: Captains, Coaches, Managers and Referees Meeting at Poolside, Allamanda Resort Hotel, Grand Anse
- December 5: Managers, Sponsors and Referees Cocktail Reception at Grenada Golf Club, St Georges
- December 6: GRW7s Day One at Kirani James Athletic Stadium, St Georges
- December 6: Live Evening Entertainment at Spice & Craft Market, Grande Anse
- December 7: GRW7s Day Two at Kirani James Athletic Stadium, St Georges
- December 7: After Party and Prize-Giving Ceremony at Umbrellas Beach Bar, Grande Anse
