Grand Bahama to prepare for post-COVID era
“It is vital that Grand Bahama and the rest of The Bahamas be prepared for the post-COVID era,” said the Prime Minister.

Bahamas: Prime Minister of Bahamas Dr. Hubert Minnis made a significant announcement during a one-day visit to Grand Bahama to tour capital activities projects, saying that Grand Bahama will be arranged for the post-coronavirus era.
While addressing the media following a West Grand Bahama tour and Central Grand Bahama, Prime Minister Hubert Minnis announced that Grand Bahama’s curfew would be prolonged to 11 pm shortly.
The Prime Minister came on Thursday morning escorted by Deputy Prime Minister and Public Works, the Hon. Desmond Bannister and Minister of Social Services and Urban Development, the Hon. Frankie Campbell.
Prime Minister Hubert Minnis stated his visit’s objective was to see the progress made following the “catastrophic events” of Hurricane Dorian in September 2019 and the COVID-19 pandemic.
“It is vital that Grand Bahama and the rest of The Bahamas be prepared for the post-COVID era,” said the Prime Minister.
The Bahamas, one of the world’s driving destinations for weddings and honeymoons, provides up to host two virtual events, From The Bahamas With Love – to showcase the vast presents for romantic escapes throughout the destination. The expo will commonly bring industry leaders, partners, hotels, venues, and services for a truly unique and educational experience for trade and consumer members.
The virtual ceremony will kick off on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 (from 1 pm to 4 pm EST), with an afternoon explicitly outlined for trade professionals, including travel agents & event executives. The second day will be conducted on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 (from 4 pm to 7 pm EST), and is open to customers, including soon-to-be working or recently engaged couples, future brides and grooms, bachelorette party executives, honeymoon do-over seekers, and more.
The pandemic has made many couples postpone or revive their romantic getaways over the last year. The place of dreams wants to ensure future planning is made as seamless as possible in 2021.
