General Mark Milley estimates civil war situation in Afghanistan

The situation of civil war to erupt in Afghanistan in coming time. The situation further would give a chance to the resurgence of other terrorist groups in Afghanistan. The top US General gave this statement to the media.

At the time American Troops began to withdraw from Afghanistan, the Taliban started to capture the left areas. At last, the Taliban has been grappling to take over control of the Panjshir Valley in the northern province of Afghanistan.

While giving a statement to Fox News, General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said, “My military estimate… is that the conditions are likely to develop of a civil war.”

General said that the Taliban, till now, can not declare their government. So how will they establish a good rule and gather the powers.

General Milley said that he thought there would be at least a very good probability of a broader civil war and that it could be the situation that would be favorable for the reconstitution of Al-Qaeda or growth of ISIS or other terrorist groups.”

The US Troops in 2001 invaded Afghanistan and overthrew the previous Taliban regime. This decision was taken after the 9/11 attacks that were admitted to be Al-Qaeda’s involvement.

Taliban group had entered deep inside the Panjshir valley, the area that was out of their hands. According to few details, the Taliban is struggling to enter the areas of Panjshri.

The officials of the Italian aid agency emergency that runs their surgical centre in Panjshir said that the Taliban had reached the village of Anabah.

In recent times the officials of the emergency agency said on Saturday that they are continuously providing medical services to the locals from the nearby villages. According to their statements, their services have not been interfered with by any means.

Anabah is the area 25 km inside the valley to the north region. Many unconfirmed reports say the Taliban had ceased many areas of the valley along with Anabah.
