Trinidad: Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley visited the field hospital located at Jean Pierre Complex, Port of Spain. A 2nd field hospital is located at the Couva Hospital, along with a multi training facility. The hospitals have been established to support the health facilities in this COVID-19 pandemic.

The US government donated these hospitals. They arrived in Trinidad and Tobago last month following an agreement made with the US government in September 2020.

The Government asked for the field hospitals, and the US Embassy expedited their delivery and set up with the assistance of the Defence Force. Prime Minister Keith Rowley stated that the hospitals could be used to provide essential medical services in the event of a disaster once the coronavirus is over.
