Delegates’ Conference to highlight Dominica’s journey of resilience
This conference has been scheduled to take place under the theme, “A Future of Hope,” shedding light on the measures taken and planned by the authorities to guide the nation towards sustainability and development.

The Delegates’ Conference hosted by the Dominica Labour Party is just one day away, aiming to highlight achievements of recent years. Along with that, the authorities are also expected to provide insight into the upcoming projects to be undertaken by them in order to secure a brighter future for all the citizens of the country.
This conference has been scheduled to take place under the theme, “A Future of Hope,” shedding light on the measures taken and planned by the authorities to guide the nation towards sustainability and development.
As per the details, the Dominica Labour Party is anticipated to emphasize on the successful recovery made by them after the devastating effects of Hurricane Maria. Along with that, the Government will also stress on transformative projects that are currently ongoing or are in plans to be signed by them with a vision to help recover the country from the destruction caused in the island nation due to Hurricane.
Prime Minister of Dominica, Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit has introduced revolutionary changes that have shaped the growth and development of island nation. Since he has taken over the charge, the Prime Minister has implemented several plans, programmes and policies for the enhancement and betterment of education sector.
Among the policies and benefits that have been granted to the children of the country are free college education, free text books and uniforms for all school children, transportation facilities for all students attending secondary school and many more.
Not only this, the Government of Dominica has also undertaken several initiatives and designed policies across various sectors, contributing to growth and development. The authorities are also anticipated to shed light on their efforts towards recovery from COVID-19 pandemic as well as the steps taken by them to elevate health department to greater heights.
The Dominica Labour Party has made unprecedented investment in health care, ensuring that every citizen have access to essential and free health services. The primary aim is to foster physical and mental well-being among all the citizens of the country.
The Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit will also focus on their primary source of income i.e. Agriculture sector. He is being expected to emphasize on significant investments made by the authorities in the agriculture department and the revenue earned by them over the years.
The Labour Party of Dominica will also focus on the digital transformation projects such as International Airport, Cable Car, Cabrits Marina, Geothermal Project, Cruise Village and much more. The authorities are being expected to highlight about the developments made in these sectors, expenses to be incurred as well as the opportunities that they will create for the citizens of the island nation.
The conference will also be attended by, the Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Philip J. Pierre and the Prime Minister of Grenada, Dickon Mitchell as the guest. These Caribbean leaders will emphasize on several measures and exchange significant dialogues to strengthen their relations.
This Delegates’ Conference will outline developments, challenges and several aspects that Dominica Labour Party have gone through to bring the nation towards growth and development.
