Bahamas’ defence force gave medical assistance to Comrade
The Officers and Marines of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force, along with members of the Morale

Bahamas: The Officers and Marines of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force, along with members of the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department recently presented financial contributions to one of their associates at Defence Headquarters,-John F. Kennedy Drive.
In conformity with the Commander Defence Force’s intention as it pertains to the well-being of RBDF personnel, the financial donation was presented on April 13, 2021, to Retired Chief Petty Officer Maxwell Johnson, who is currently receiving medical attention.
Receiving the presentation for Retired Chief Petty Officer Johnson’s donation was his daughter, Ms Macniece Johnson. She expressed gratitude for the financial contribution and assured us that her father is also appreciative.
Presenting the check on behalf of Commander Defence Force, Commodore Raymond King, was (Acting) Captain Coral Harbour Captain Shawn Adderley. He said that it was a small gesture the organization gladly undertook to assist the Senior Enlisted who give selflessly to their organization and, by extension, the country.
A 34-year-veteran, Chief Petty Officer Johnson retired from the Royal Bahamas Defence Force in December 2015. He was recently diagnosed with Sarcoma, a rare form of cancer in 2018, and has since been undergoing treatment. The Force’s fervent prayer is that Retired Chief Petty Officer Johnson fully recovers.
Also in attendance were Lieutenant Commander Judy McDonald, the RBDF Veteran Affairs Officer, and Chief Petty Officer John Ingraham and Petty Officer Eunice Rolle, members of the RBDF Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department.
According to Chief Petty Officer Ingraham, this is an ongoing initiative to ensure the morale and well-being of the Officers and Marines were met.
The military of the Bahamas always stands with the people of the Bahamas. Several resources have declared the Bahamas’ military is the strongest and punctual towards their duty. They provide excellent service to their members as well. In challenging situations, the military stands tough and safeguard the nation.
