Haiti has been the last country in the world, as well as the Caribbean and Latin Americans, to receive the shipment so late. In this tense situation, many health workers are optimistic regarding their work.

The veteran physicians who get their position in the first line during the HIV/AIDS crisis in the country, Dr Jean William Pape, said that these doses of vaccine would be proven as the booster in the mass vaccination drives in the country. He has also been co-leading the situation of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.

Previously this year, the former administration of the country denied to accept the shipments of the COVID-19 vaccine. Out of them, one was from India, and another was from the COVAX under the global vaccine sharing programme.
Half a million of the Vaccine doses have been given by the US under the global vaccination donation. This shipment arrived in the month of July. This shipment includes the Moderna Coronavirus Vaccine that was sent through the COVAX facility to one of the Caribbean Nations.

A few days back, Martin Moise, the widow of assassinated Haiti’s President Jovenel Moise, hinted that she would be standing as a candidate for presidential elections.
