St Kitts and Nevis: Premier of Nevis Mark Brantley meets PM Terrance Drew first time post assuming office

St Kitts and Nevis: Premier of Nevis and Leader of Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM) – Mark Brantley met with the newly elected Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis – Dr Terrance Drew on August 19, 2022 (Friday). This was the first-ever meeting between both the leaders after the elected of Dr Drew as the Prime Minister of the country.

Premier Brantley has stated that he and the people of Nevis will be glad if the government of both islands will work closely together and deliver sustainable development.

Leader of CCM, Mark Brantley took social media and expressed gratitude towards the Prime Minister. The post by him read, “Excellent first meeting with the new Prime Minister of #StKitts #Nevis HE Dr Terrence Drew. We look forward to working closely together to deliver sustainable development for our beloved country.”

Both ministers had interaction related to the upliftment and advancement of the country.

Dr Terrance Drew was elected as the Prime Minister of the country on August 6, 2022 after winning six out of eleven seats. He assumed office as PM on August 19, on the same day he sworn in as the Minister of Finance of the country.

Earlier, while addressing the general public of St Kitts for the first time, Dr Terrance Drew assured that St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party will not only work for the people St Kitts but also for sister isle Nevis.

In general elections 2022, Concerned Citizens Movement also secured massive victory by winning all three seats of Nevis.

The meeting was praised by the general public of St Kitts and Nevis. One of the users wrote, “Country above Self is not impossible. If we see it personified in our leaders, watch how it will fast become the mantra of our people too. Congratulations to you both. People always matter more!”

Yet another stated, “This is a Great look for St Kitts and Nevis may we be united and live as one.”
