Trinidad and Tobago: As per 14 February 2022, the nation reported around 510 positive cases, taking the number of total positive cases for the virus to 120,895.
The samples of the test were taken between 9 February and 13 February 2022. As many as 596,000 people have undergone testing. Of the total, 265,203 tests were done at private facilities and 330,797 were done at public facilities.
During the same period, five people lost their lives due to the virus; of these, two were elderly males, one elderly female, and two were middle-aged. Of died, five had multiple comorbidities, and none had one or no comorbidity.
Total deaths reported in the country is as many as 3,531.
To date, 95,743 patients have been recovered from the virus. 30 persons have been discharged from public health facilities, and 345 recoveries have been reported from community cases.
As per the statics by the government, a total of 408 people are in the hospital, of which 340 people are in the public facility and 68 people are in step-down or transition facilities, whereas, 20,703 people are home isolated.
Total number of active cases in Trinidad & Tobago is around 21,621.
The vaccination status in the country is 49.8 percent. 702,208 people have received the first jab of the vaccine against COVID-19, and 697,792 people have completed their vaccination regime. As many as 121,955 Trinidad and Tobago’s citizens have taken the booster dose.
