St Kitts and Nevis: The twin-island Federation is all ready to invite the top chefs of the island country to the “Restaurant Week”, which is scheduled from July 14 to July 24, 2022. During this event, the Kittitians and Nevisians will enjoy five-star cuisines enriched with the themed ingredient – Sweet Potato.
St Kitts and Nevis will enjoy the event after the halt of two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The citizens and residents will now once again dine out and create memories with their families. During the event, restaurants will provide reduced or fixed price menus, and the customers can try much different food that may normally be out of their price range.
Mid and upper-range restaurants will participate during Restaurant Week. The week will put a light on the farmers of St Kitts and Nevis; the restaurants will highlight the significance of the farmers among the travellers. Indeed, the event will showcase the vibrant, authentic cuisines of the twin island.
The planned events for this year’s week are Tasting Showcase, Shoaces, bartender competition, the eye-opener and the grill fest.
During Tasting Showcase, St Kitts and Nevis will enjoy the dishes made from the theme ingredient – Sweet Potato. Shoaces will be held in St Kitts on July 10, and in Nevis, it will be organised on July 16. Additionally, there will also be a bartender/mixologist competition where participants will complete the winning cocktail.
A tribute will be paid to the grill masters through the key event – the Grill Fest, which is scheduled for July 23. The masters will compete for the title of Best Grill Master in three categories: poultry, pork and seafood. Every participating restaurant will offer savoury dishes and beverages to the attendees as they will witness the serving up of the tasty dishes featuring the sweet potato.
The list of the 50 participants was shared by the government of St Kitts and Nevis.
