St Kitts and Nevis: PM Terrance Drew meets Frances-Ann Prince on her 100th birthday

St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister of the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis – Dr Terrance Drew, shared updates regarding his visits on October 11, 2022 (Tuesday). On the day, PM Terrance Drew toured to present to Frances-Ann Prince of Upper Cayon on his 100th birthday with the Community Development & Social Services Department.
The minister also met with the staff of the Solid Waste Management Department and appreciated the staff working relentlessly to make St Kitts and Nevis developed and clean.
Prime Minister shared the visit on his social media and wrote, “Today I joined the Community Development & Social Services Department on a special visit and presentation to Ms Frances-Ann Prince of Upper Cayon, who turned 100 years old. She became the Federation’s newest centenarian. I extend once again joyous birthday greetings to Ms Frances-Ann Prince on this momentous occasion.”
He furthermore highlighted his meeting with the staff at Solid Waste. During the meeting, he was accompanied by Senator Dr Joyelle Clarke. The staff at Solid Waste addressed several issues and concerns as well as sanitation workers, who are essential to the health as well as well-being of a nation, shared the problem shared by them on a daily basis. PM Dr Drew shared a tale of Martin Luther King and stated, “In fact, Martin Luther King, during the early stages of his movement, marched with sanitation workers as he knew how critical they were to the wellbeing and functioning of society.”
PM Terrance Drew, on October 10, visited several of the constituents in Upper Monkey Hill to follow up on the water situation following the pumps were repaired. The meetings were quite fruitful, as the minister had a meeting with the water supply department and the locals.
“We will continue our efforts to ensure that the water supply issue throughout St Kitts is fully resolved,” he furthermore assured.
