SKN Labour Party congratulates new National Carnival Queen
The members of St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party congratulated Desnarine Hanley for winning the Miss St Kitts and Nevis Queen Pageant and becoming National Carnival Queen.

The members of St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party congratulated Desnarine Hanley for winning the Miss St Kitts and Nevis Queen Pageant and becoming National Carnival Queen. The leaders have also lauded all other remarkable participants who participated in the contest and graced the event.
Notably, Desnarine Hanley of Miss St Kitts Music Festival amassed 916 points and won this event. She was also honored with a full scholarship from Southern University for up to EC $108,000. The first runner-up of the event was Miss TDC Group of Companies Desanne Maynard, who scored an outstanding 859 points.
Miss St Kitts and Nevis Anguilla National Bank Limited, Azariah Vanterpool scored commendable 845 points and declared as the second runner-up.
While praising the contestants, the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew stated that the participants displayed their exceptional talent and added a great value to the event.
He added that every contestant’s sincere dedication, tiring efforts and their hard work have undoubtedly paid off. He also extended his best wishes to all the winners of the event for their future projects who will embark on the new journey.
Further, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Dr Geoffrey Hanley also send his wishes to the winners of the pageant, stated that “he is elated to have witnessed the crowning of our new National Carnival Queen, Desnarine Hanley.”
He also added that the crown winner, Queen Hanley is also the first resident of the St Kitts and Nevis who received a full EC $108,000 4-year scholarship to the Southern University.
The Foreign Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Denzil Llewellyn Douglas also congratulated the winner and all the other contestants and chaperones.
Furthermore, the Minister of Public Infrastructure, Energy, Utilities, Domestic Transport, Konris Maynard also shared his wishes to all the winners of the pageant. He stated that all the participants did really well and stated that all the ladies truly deserve congratulations for their outstanding and amazing efforts.
He added that “the show was fantastic and the top prize was awesome.”
