Saint Lucia: Prime Minister Philip J Pierre has been recovered from the deadly virus and is out of isolation after the instructions of the medical personnel.
Prime Minister shared the ‘day of love and his first day out of the isolation’ with a Social Assistance Fund.
He became a part of the cheque handover ceremony by the St. Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) to the Social Assistance Fund. The cheque worth $450,000 was granted to the association to help the most vulnerable section of society.
The PM took social media to share his experience; he mentioned that “On this day of love and my first day out of isolation, I was honoured to be part of this cheque handover ceremony by @powerofcaring to the Social Assistance Fund for $450,000. This money will be used to assist most vulnerable in our society.”
He shared this post with the hashtag ‘#PhilipCares’.

The Prime Minister was tested positive for the virus on February 8 2022, following a regular PCR test. He was under isolation for around six days and showed no symptoms. A team of doctors was closely monitoring his health.
According to the sources, PM Pierre was following a balanced and healthy diet and was regularly exercising during his phase of recovery.
He has received both doses of vaccine against COVID-19 and a booster dose, which helped him, and his condition was not complicated, and he wasn’t hospitalized because of the infection.
During the time of isolation, Prime Minister Philip continued to work for the betterment of the people of St Lucia and has urged the eligible St Lucians to receive the vaccination and the booster dose.
As of 12 noon of February 14 2022, St Lucia had 1,459 active cases and confirmed cases in the country were as many as 22,177. The number of patients in isolation is 20,364.
