LIAT 2020 launches new route to Tortola, strengthening connectivity  

LIAT 2020 continues to broaden its network, announced to launch new flight services between Antigua and Tortola, British Virgin Islands starting within a period of 4 days.

Services effective from Sunday, 8th December, 2024 are expected to play a significant role in providing convenient connections to all the travellers across LIAT20’s network to the Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport (EIS).

The addition of Tortola to the growing network of air carrier will provide passengers with several options, making it accessible for them to traverse between Caribbean destinations and enjoy festive season with their loved ones.

CEO of LIAT 2020 on services to Tortola

Shedding light on the new route addition, the CEO Hafsah Abdulsalam said that it outlines their commitment to expanding their presence in the Caribbean and offering more travel opportunities to the customers.

He further expressed his excitement on the announcement of the launch of their flight services to BVI. The CEO added that they are committed mark a significant milestone in the aviation sector by facilitating same-day travel services between the northern and the southern Caribbean.

He further went on to say that these services enrouted from Antigua and Barbuda to British Virgin Islands brings their unwavering commitment and dedication to seamless regional connectivity.

Tourism Minister of BVI on new route from Antigua to Tortola

Natalio D. Wheatley, the Premier and Minister for Tourism, Culture and Sustainable Development of BVI stated that they are delighted and looking forward to welcome LIAT 2020’s new route to the island nation.

Emphasising on this route, the tourism minister asserted that the launch of the services to the country would mark a significant step in enhancing connectivity between both the respective nations.

Tourism Minister asserted that this improved air access between the nations is crucial for the continued growth of their tourism industry.

These new services from LIAT 2020 will also help both the nations in attracting more visitors, aiming to immerse them in the natural beauty, vibrant culture and the warm hospitality of the territory.

Minister Wheatley added that they are looking forward to building on its partnership with LIAT 2020 and Antigua Tourism Authority in order to drive both economic and tourism growth.
