We are always happy to help out, and we thought this was a great opportunity for us as we celebrate our 50th anniversary in Trinidad and Tobago. We wanted to give back to the communities we serve, and we felt that supporting young cricket players was a perfect way to do that. We encourage all the school teams participating in the league to keep practicing and use this chance to achieve even greater things, both in cricket and as responsible members of our country.”
President of the SSCL, Nigel Maraj, welcomed the assistance from KFC and said, “We’re happy that a great brand is sponsoring us, and we want to congratulate them on their 50th anniversary. We’re also celebrating 50 years of Secondary Schools cricket in Trinidad and Tobago, and we’re excited to begin a great partnership with this amazing brand.”
Rodeo Communications Managing Director, Vinode Mamchan said, “We must thank KFC for agreeing to come on board to sponsor this T10 Series. The matches will be broadcasted ‘live’ on social media and Flow Sports hence the players will have a great chance to be seen by scouts. KFC has decided to invest their resources in our young players at the developmental phase in their cricket careers and we are extremely pleased about that. All the schools are excited and hopefully this becomes an annual event.”
