Dreadful Tornadoes took over 80 lives in US

In a horrific incident, dozens of tornadoes hit the five states of the United States on Saturday, killing more than 80 people while causing devastating destruction.

In a horrific incident, dozens of tornadoes hit the five states of the United States on Saturday, killing more than 80 people while causing devastating destruction. 

President Joe Biden has stated this as one of the largest storms, adding that this is a tragedy and ‘we still don’t know how many lives are lost and the full extent of the damage“. 

He has also announced to visit the affected regions, noting that the US administration will do its best to save lives and in providing every possible assistance. 

The rescue operations are still going on, and the exact number of the casualties has yet not been identified.  

Meanwhile, the governor of Kentucky, Andy Beshear, cited, “This event is the worst, most devastating, most deadly tornado event in Kentucky’s history. I fear that we might have lost more than 100 people

“The devastation is unlike anything I have seen in my life, and I am not able to put it in words,” the governor added while briefing media about this horrendous incident.  

The candle factory in Mayfield was destroyed, while the roof collapsed when more than 110 workers were doing their duty, out of which till now 40 individuals have been rescued by the authorities. Officials are stating that it would be a miracle if someone was found alive. 

This incident has left people in shock and terror around the globe. 

In addition, the Mayor of Mayfield – Kathy O’Nan, trying to express his emotions what he saw was after the destruction, asserted, “When I walked out of City Hall this morning, it looked like matchsticks. Our downtown churches have been destroyed; our courthouse is destroyed, our water system is not functioning at this time, there is no power”. 

The impact of these storms was also seen in the other states, where there was no power supply for hours.

People around the globe are condoling for the ones who lost their lives in this dreadful incident and are praying for the ones who are missing and stuck in the rubble.
