Dominica sees surge in Cruise tourism with Eleven ships arriving this week

Roseau, Dominica: The picturesque island of Dominica is experiencing a significant boost in cruise tourism, with eleven ships scheduled to dock this week, bringing an estimated 12,310 passengers to its shores.

On March 5, 2024, the arrival of two cruise ships, MV Costa Fortuna and SY Sea Cloud. Both the cruise ships on arrival would bring 3784 cruise passengers to the country. MV Costa Fortuna has the capacity of 3780 and the SY Sea Cloud can accommodate 94 passengers. 

The country will witness arrivals every day of the week except one, with some days seeing multiple ships docking.

The schedule from March 6 to March 8, 2024, includes three cruise ships that will dock in the country. And, the names to them are as follows:

• MV Norwegian Sky will arrive on March 6, 2024
• MV Silver Nova will grace the shores on March 7, 2024
• SY Sea Cloud ll will arrive on March 8, 2024

Significantly, on March 10, 2024, two cruise ships will set their arrival marks: MV Seven Seas Grandeur and MV Aidaperla. The country will welcome about 3892 cruise passengers on their arrival in a single day.

Four Cruise Ships; MV Silver Dawn, MV Royal Clipper, MV Star Flyer and MV Windsurf have already given the arrival.
