Roseau, Dominica: Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, extended support towards the Dream 11 Nature Isle T10 Tournament. He expressed pride and outlined that he is so glad that the country is doing good in terms of the sports sector.
PM Skerrit, earlier this week, took social media to inform the general public and wrote, “The Government of Dominica is proud to support the Dream 11 Nature Isle T10 Tournament, which bowled off on Thursday at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium.”
In addition to this, he shared that he welcomed some members of the Dominica Cricket Association. During this meet and greet, the PM and the members discussed the management and schedule of the tournament. According to close sources, PM Skerrit made sure that the tournament went well and that the players were provided with all the basic necessities.
“Members of the Dominica Cricket Association (DCA) Executive dropped by this morning for a quick chat and update on the games,” he asserted.
Furthermore, PM Roosevelt Skerrit invited the Dominicans to be there to cheer for their favourite players throughout the tournament. The tournament is scheduled to end on June 8. Dominicans can be seen excited about it.
“Go out and support our talented cricketers in this exciting short-form tournament which runs until Thursday, June 8 2023,” he concluded his message.
During the meeting, PM Skerrit can be seen all-smiled with the members of DCA. He also wore jerseys to encourage them. Prime Minister was accompanied by his wife and Minister of Housing of Dominica, Melissa Poponne-Skerrit.
It is worth noting that the government of Dominica, under the leadership of Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit, has been working days and nights for the upliftment and growth of the sports sector. The government has rehabilitated and renovated various playgrounds and stadiums with modern equipment to provide Dominican athletes with a stage to practice and upgrade their skills so that they can represent the nation at the international level.
