Dominica: New Sports Committee established in St Joseph

Dominica: A new Sports Committee was on Monday evening elected to serve the community of St. Joseph, the committee members were elected at a meeting organized by the District Sports Officer, Edmund Audain.

The committee will be responsible for managing organizing and coordinating sporting activities, and performing other sports related functions in the community.

The Sports Division is on a drive to establish these community based organizations inorder to bring greater structure to grassroots sports.

The members of the new committee are:

• President – Kenny -Jno Charles
• Vice president– Ian Lewis
• Secretary – Curlyn Luke
• Treasurer – Sabila Luke
• Assistant Sec/Treasurer – Randy Charles
• PRO – Dwight Paul

Dominica is working hard to uplift the sports sector and has been implementing various strategies to make the sector advanced and modern.
