Commissioner of Police Jacob meets Chinese Delegation on March 15

Trinidad and Tobago: The Commissioner of Police, Mc Donald Jacob, has met the delegation from the Chinese Embassy to Trinidad and Tobago and representatives of the Chinese business community on March 15, 2022 (Tuesday).

The delegation held a meeting at the Trinidad and Tobago Police Administration Building, as per the information by the police services.

“Commissioner of Police (Ag), Mc Donald Jacob met with delegates from the Chinese Embassy to Trinidad and Tobago and representatives of the Chinese business community at the Police Administration Building, today, Tuesday, March 15 2022,” Trinidad Police stated.

The meet discussed the matters related to security, safety and training. The Trinidadian Commissioner further thanked the Chinese Embassy for assisting in improving skills and knowledge of the Trinidadian Police Service.

The police further informed, “CoP (Ag.) Jacob and the Chinese contingent met to discuss matters of safety, security and training. Commissioner Jacob thanked the Chinese Embassy for their assistance in helping to improve the skills and knowledge of the TTPS”.

Commissioner of Police Jacob further assured that the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) would strictly work to build a sustainable relationship between two entities.

Furthermore, the Chinese Embassy’s First Secretary Liu Wei thanked TTPS for always safeguarding the Chinese community. The delegations of both countries exchanged tokens of appreciation.

“First Secretary Liu Wei of the Chinese Embassy expressed his gratitude to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service for the efforts made in safeguarding the Chinese community. Upon completion of the meeting, both parties exchanged tokens of appreciation,” Trinidadian Police stated.

This meet was attended by the members of Trinidad Police and the Chinese business community.

The Police informed that “also in attendance were Assistant Commissioners of Police (Ag.) Sharon Gomez-Cooper and Daniel Moore, Political attaché Mr Geng Gai, and members of the Chinese business community Mr Joe Chan, Mr Michael Chen, and Mr Charles Cheng.”

During “Women History Month”, the Police Service of Trinidad and Tobago expressed gratitude towards the women working or worked.

“The TTPS has joined those nations in highlighting the contribution of women in the TTPS.

The first batch of women police entered the service in 1955.

The first 12 are Jessica Smith Phillip, Doreen Lumpress Noel, Pearl Bruce, Irene Cozier Toussaint, Phyllis Wilson, Merle Payne Bertrand, Cynthia Sealey St Aude, Cynthia Cole Israel, Myrtle Carter, Mavis Griffith, Elsie Cummings and Sheila Cipriani,” stated TTPS.
