Agri Expo 2024 returns to Trinidad and Tobago, aims to foster local products

Trinidad and Tobago: Agri Expo 2024 returns to Trinidad and Tobago from 16th August to 18th August 2024 with a vision to elevate the agriculture sector of the country. The event has been scheduled to take place at the Queen’s Park Savannah, Port of Spain under the theme “Farm to Table: Revolutionising the Local Food Supply Chain.”

The Trinidad and Tobago Agri-Expo 2024 serves as an ideal platform for the stakeholders to stimulate conversations and achieve the vision of Food and Nutrition Security. While shedding light on this year’s event, the authorities stated that they will focus on the significance of local food production and consumption for economic growth and food security.

The authorities added that the event will offer a plethora of experiences to all the attendees. They added that the attendees will get a chance to discover the latest in agriculture, cutting-edge smart agricultural technologies, and traditional farming practices. They added that citizens will also get a chance to enjoy family-friendly activities with a vision to support their local farmers.

While shedding light on the highlighting aspects of TT Agri Expo 2024, the authorities stated that it will offer the activities including, Farmers Market, Entertainment Hub, Agricultural Equipment area, Petting Zoo and Children’s Playzone, Aquaculture/Fisheries and Business-to-Business segment.

The Minister of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries of Trinidad and Tobago, Kazim Hosein also extended welcome to all the citizens to the biggest agricultural event of the year. While extending welcome, he noted that the event offers the wonders of agriculture.

“We’re almost ready to welcome you to an event filled with interactive exhibits and experiences, incredible opportunities to learn and network, and a showcase of our local agricultural innovation,” noted Kazim Hosein, the Minister of Agriculture, Land, and Fisheries.

He called TT Agri Expo 2024 an incredible opportunity to explore, learn and grow together. The Minister also mentioned about the Chow Down Competition and asked the school students to participate in it and showcase their chow-making skills and win some amazing prizes. The citizens can register themselves for the competition by 14th August 2024.

“Don’t miss out on this delicious showdown and an opportunity to win up to $2,000 (First Place Secondary School) and $1,200 (First Place Primary School),” noted Minister Hosein.

Entry to attend the TT Agri-Expo 2024 is free, and the timings for Friday are from 11:00 am – 10:00 pm. Meanwhile, on the other two days, the timings are from 10:00 am – 10:00 pm.

The Minister stated that this event would be a great experience for all the attendees as it is a great platform for the stakeholders, leaders, investors and farmers to unite together and work collaboratively for the advancement of the agriculture sector of the country.
