75 cruises to dock at Antigua and Barbuda in Jan 2024
The month of January in Antigua and Barbuda is all set for being the action-packed month of the cruise tourism, with an impressive 75 schedule cruise calls.

The month of January in Antigua and Barbuda is all set to be an action-packed month for cruise tourism, with an impressive 75 scheduled cruise calls. The Antigua Cruise Port is getting ready and making preparations for the busiest month of the season.
Notably, January 9 to 30th January will feature simultaneous port calls by five cruise ships. The Cruise ships include, Costa Serena, Royal Clipper, Spirit of Discovery, Britannia, Norwegian Visa, Le Bellot, AIDA Perla and Explorer of the Seas.
Moreover, the Antigua’s cruise industry will continue to grow by surpassing the last year figure of confirmed cruise calls by 39. This time the confirmed cruise calls are notably to be 415.
Along with that, it is being anticipated that 900,000 approx. cruise passengers can make the arrival this year. Such huge numbers of arrival will mark an important year for cruise tourism in Antigua.
The excitement for the cruise port has already begun from yesterday, 3rd January, 2024 with two vessels in port and three more scheduled for today, 4 January, 2024.
Further, The Antigua Cruise Port observed its first 5-ship day for the season. Welcoming the number of ships, docking into St. Johns, including Arvia, Norwegian Jade, Marella Discovery, Sea Cloud Spirit and the Royal Clipper, has brought around 9,000 passengers.
More than 800 passengers also arrived at the port to board Arvia and Royal Clipper, marking the overall passenger count to 10,000. This is notably, the second time that Antigua Cruise Port has done homeporting operations.
At the same time, Antigua Cruise Port had also conducted two homeporting operations on 18 November 2023 when both P&0 Cruise Arvia and Emerald Cruises luxury yacht, Emerald Sakara were called at the port.
As per the information, over 700 passengers were disembarked to conclude their cruise while 700 passengers were boarded to begin their voyage. Throughout the 2023-24 winter season, the Emerald Cruises vessel made 13 turnaround calls at the port.
