Bridgetown: Prime Minister and the leader of Barbados Labour Party, Mia Amor Mottley thanked the general public for once again showing their trust in her and the party. BLP made history by winning all the 30 constituency seats consecutively in the snap general elections 2022.
PM Mottley cited, “Thank you for putting your trust in the Barbados Labour Party again to be your government. We don’t take this lightly, we remain committed to your safety and prosperity. We understand that while we have made some strides in this globally uncertain time, we have much to do at home”.
Further underscoring the government’s commitment towards the citizens, she added, “We take this gift of your trust in our leadership and hold it close, for it is a precious thing, and we know much is expected. We are focused on what matters to you the people, what is significant to this country and what is needed for us to move forward together for the next stage of this nation’s development”.
The snap elections took place on January 29, 2022, where enormous support was seen by the Barbadians.
One of the citizens named Anica Bostic cited, “Congratulations Madam Prime Minister and your hard-working team. Continue the good work with God’s guidance”.
Goldiejay Horton said, “Congratulations to the Hon Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley and #teamBLP on their historic win. We know you will continue the good work as the citizens put their trust in you, to do. We truly love you, and may God keep His steady hand on you, guiding you in every way”.
Meanwhile, the other individual, Marcia Rollins, stated, “Thank you, PM, for your inspiring leadership and your dedication to duty. Thank you to your team who bought into the vision for our island home Barbados. May God continue to bless you PM and your team, and may God bless Barbados”.
