Castries: A St Lucian won a lottery worth 2 million Eastern Caribbean Dollars in the Windward islands Super Six Jackpot game. The results of the lottery were announced on Wednesday.
The individuals’ ticket numbers match all six digits (07-13-21-22-23-27). Although, the winner yet has not claimed his lucky draw money.
Windward islands Super Six Jackpot is looking for the winner. A similar kind of situation occurred in the previous jackpot, where the winner did not come forward to receive the prize. After this only, the prize money is increased from 1 million to 2 million Eastern Caribbean Dollars.
This happened for the second time when the lottery prize was hiked over an amount of 1 million.
The Windward islands Super Six Jackpot game replaced the multi-jurisdictional game known as WinLotto and was introduced to the general public on 12th December 2005.
People from St Lucia, Dominica, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada competed in the game for the lucrative prize money which the lottery offers.
The WinLotto is having a starting jackpot of EC $100,000.00 where players get to choose 6 numbers between 1 and 34. This has altered the lives of many individuals throughout the Windward Islands.
On the other hand, Super 6 carries a starting Jackpot prize worth – EC$200,000.00 where players only choose six numbers between one (1) and twenty-eight (28), thus providing players of the Windward Islands bigger jackpots and more opportunities to win.
