St Kitts and Nevis Tourism Authority aims to strengthen intra-regional tourism

Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: The Tourism Authority of the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis has recently informed that the authority will aim to strengthen the position of the country to bring intra-regional tourists to the shore.

The social media post by the Tourism Authority of the Federation informed, “The St Kitts Tourism Authority has enforced a comprehensive marketing plan which aims to strengthen the position of the destination to drive intra-regional travel to St Kitts & Nevis.”

Furthermore, the authority outlined that to culminate the inaugural flight celebrations of interCaribbean Airways to and from St Kitts and Barbados, the Authority, in conjunction with interCaribbean and Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc (BTMI), hosted a promotion event at the Hilton Barbados Resort.

“This event provided ample opportunity to market and promote the federation to various travel advisors, tour operators, and media,” the social media post by the Tourism Authority mentioned.

Recently, the Tourism Minister of St Kitts and Nevis – Marsha T Henderson, once again shared an update about the new service commenced by InterCaribbean Airways. “With the introduction of this new service, Minister of Tourism Marsha T Henderson shared that “re-establishing strong regional connectivity is crucial to the success of tourism markets in the Caribbean Region”,” the social media post informed.

While inviting the travellers to travel to and from Barbados, the Tourism Authority stated, “St Kitts welcomes interCaribbean Airways’ service to and from Barbados. The new airlift options increase accessibility to St Kitts more than ever before, opening the door to convenient, same-day connectivity from Barbados and surrounding Caribbean islands.”

The inaugural flight by InterCaribbean Airways landed at the Robert L Bradshaw International Airport (RLBIA) on March 12, 2023. During the inaugural ceremony, it was anticipated that this new partnership would increase the accessibility to the Caribbean region. This event celebrating the inauguration of the flight was attended by both government and non-government officials of St Kitts and Nevis.
