Royalton Resort host exclusive 9th Annual Showcase Antigua Barbuda, attracts travel partners

Antigua and Barbuda: The Tourism Authority of island nation celebrates the success of the 9th Annual Showcase Antigua Barbuda which was scheduled to have taken place from 23rd to 26th June 2024 at Royalton Resort Antigua.
The event was attended by several travel partners with a motive to enhance business from the primary source markets of the island nation such as US, UK, Canada, Europe and the Caribbean, leading to generate strong relations and elevate the tourism sector of the island nation to greater heights.
The event was started with a grand hosted welcome cocktail which was presented at the Verandah Antigua under the theme “Hello Summer 2024.” The event featured vibrant cultural presentations of food, dance and entertainment, in order to foster the diverse heritage and traditions of the entire Caribbean region, especially Antigua and Barbuda.
Notably, more than 40 travel partners from all over the world engaged in pre-scheduled appointments with local suppliers in the tourism industry. The partners were given an opportunity to explore island properties, offering a full day of familiarization trips, a relaxing sunset cocktail event hosted by Rocks Groups at Sheer Rocks Antigua.
Following that, the partners were provided an opportunity to explore a full-day tour of Barbuda which was hosted by the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority. The attendees were given tour of several beautiful attractions of the island nation starting with Frigate Bird Sanctuary, Pink Sand Beach, Martello Towers, Princess Diana Beach and the final destination was Nautical Chic.
The CEO of Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority, Colin C. James expressed excitement on the successful hosting of the event. He noted that it has been a remarkable collaboration event which would play a huge role in enhancing business opportunities for all travel partners.
Also, the Chairman of the Antigua and Barbuda Hotels and Tourism Association, Craig Marshall, remarked that this event was a huge opportunity for the tourism members of the island nation to display their business to global travel partners. He further added that it is a great opportunity for increasing occupancy, bookings and overall growth for travels to the destination of Antigua and Barbuda.
